Interesting Places in Beijing, China.

Assalamualaikum and hello everyone!

For this entry I want to tell you guys about my experience in Beijing, China! Beijing is the capital of China and it's such a sprawling country. Yet it’s known as much for modern architecture as its ancient sites. It was a memorable journey with my family. I gained lots of knowledge and experience when I went there and it also can be a guide for you guys as the reader who wish to travel Beijing. So let's get started.

First day

For you guys information, I went to Beijing by Air Asia X, with the price as low as RM1100. Traveling by plane is very tiring and exhausting. The seat was very narrow, limited food and no entertainment 😭 It was so difficult for me but I have to get through it because it was affordable as a budget flight. So you guys please do not be so demand, okay. 😂

We departed from KLIA at 7 p.m. and arrived at Beijing at 2 a.m. We were very exhausted since we spent almost 7 hours in the flight. I was on the cloud nine because it is my first time travelling to Beijing. Beijing was cold, beautiful and crowded. I took a sighed deeply in the cold weather and I was trying my best to enjoy it. The temperature was very low and extremely cold there. I had to use the face mask and my beloved lip balm to protect my lips from drying. Beijing was very crowded as I could see people who was rushing to work, colleges and there are also tourists from different country who went there for a sight seeing. Just like me! 😚

Second day

That morning was so calm and soothing even it was so cold but I can handle it. We only slept for several hours that night, we started our day with visiting many interesting and inspiring place in Beijing. Oh yes, we stayed in a halal hotel which is Xiyuan Hotel. It was a traditional hotel built in the 1950s offering traditional facilities. It was sited on the seafront at a convenient location, it was close to all the things I wanted to do and see. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Their staffs were also very friendly and they provided us a very good facilities there.

Our packages were included breakfast so we started our day with energizing ourselves with the breakfast that provided here. That morning we agreed to visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. Both places were located in Beijing city center. Their population was almost 20 million people. Tiananmen Square is a big city in the middle of Beijing, China. Tiananmen Square was named after the Tiananmen Door (Gate of Heavenly Peace) which is located north that separates it from the Forbidden City. It also placed the tomb of Ma Zhou Tong, the communist in China. After that, we started to enter the Forbidden City. I really loved this place because it was so incomparable and enchanting. The Forbidden City is thousands of years old and it also placed the mistress of China's emperor.

After that, we went to lunch at the Halal restaurant. Chinese food in China is definitely different from chinese food in Malaysia. It more delectable and savory. We were really relishing our meal. After eating, we all went to the Niujie Mosque to perform prayers. The mosque in China is really rare. It's like a traditional Chinese home.

Third day

On the third day, we visited The Great Wall. It was absolutely huge! It's undeniable that it was an extraordinary human creation. The length of the Great Wall in China was said to be more than 1000km. I was wondering how the chinese warriors could build such as amazing thing. Really unthinkable! The Great Wall was also the main icon in China.

And when viewed from above, it was like a dragon across the mountains. Fuh, we really exhausted but when you arrived there, all the fatigue was worth it. Indeed, it conveys and exemplifies the beauty of nature. SubhanAllah 🥰😍

Before heading back to the hotel, we had dinner first. During winter, night time was shorter. The sky during 5 pm was as black as the sky during 8 pm. So we had dinner around 6pm and went back to the hotel around 7pm.

Forth day

Panda zoo! Yes! At day four we had a chance to meet the panda. Panda was an icon to China too and was the world's almost extinct bear. While at the Panda Zoo, we were accompanied by a guide who would show us the pandas and areas. According to the guide, the panda definitely loved to eat bamboo but they were picky eaters, they only eat the bamboo from Sichuan only. It was funny but true. Maybe the bamboo from Sichuan was tastier than other places. 😂😆

There was no denying that panda was a very adorable animal. I thought I wanted to bring the panda back to Malaysia, but we must accept the fact that the panda was a bear and can be enraged at any time.

We visited panda in less than two hours. After that, we went out to eat and went shopping at Silk Center and Jade. Usually, if you were looking for cheap items, Jade was the ideal place for shopping.

Last day

The last day before leaving. We checked out around 12pm, and continued to enjoy lunch at the halal restaurant. The atmosphere at Beijing Airport is not as great and as big as KLIA because there were not many places we can go. At 12pm all check-out matter was completed and we left to KL around 1pm.

It was such a beautiful and memorable journey with my family and it always playing in my mind. Hopefully I can visit many interesting place in the future.
